Find Your North Star

Start with the life you actually want. Then build the business that gets you there.

A 90-minute live workshop for business rebels who have been so busy building the thing that nobody stopped to ask what it was for.

You leave clear on where you are heading, why it matters, and with a route to start moving in the right direction.

Tuesday 18 August, 10am (UK time)
Thursday 10 September, 6pm (UK time)

Online – £49

The life is what gets sacrificed first

When you are building something, the business gets first call on everything. Your time, your attention, your best hours, your Sunday.

And it works, for a while. So you keep doing it.

The health goes first, usually. Then the relationships get thinner. The creative thing you used to do for no reason at all quietly stops happening. Somewhere in the middle of all that you stopped asking what you actually wanted, because there was always something more urgent to answer.

Then it catches up.

And here is the part nobody puts on a slide: nobody builds anything from burnout. You cannot make good decisions from there. You cannot see three years ahead when you cannot see past Thursday. So you stop, you recover, you start again, and you rebuild the same thing slightly faster.

That is the boom and bust cycle. It is exhausting, it is expensive, and it is not a character flaw.

It happens because only the business ever got designed. The life was left to whatever was left over.

Nobody builds anything from burnout.

Ask most people what they want and what you actually get is a list of what they are supposed to want. A certain size of business. A certain shape of week. A version of success assembled from family, school, an industry, and some bloke on LinkedIn who gets up at five.

For divergent people it runs deeper than that.

We have spent our whole lives being told to do it the way that works for everybody else. Do it this way. Try harder. Be more organised. Why can't you just. After enough years of that, you stop building things that fit you, because the way you fit has been treated as the problem for as long as you can remember.

Your brain's not broken. Your system is. And so is a life built out of other people's defaults.

This session is 90 minutes of permission to want what you actually want, described in enough detail that you could recognise it if you got there.

And most of it was never your decision

We start with the life. The business comes next

Not because the business matters less. Because it cannot be designed properly until you know what it is for.

Your business is the vehicle. Your life is the destination. Design the vehicle first and you end up with something beautifully engineered, expensive to run, heading nowhere in particular. Which is roughly what burnout is.

So we do the destination first. Three years out. What your days look like, who is in them, what your health is doing, what money actually means to you, what you are making, what you are learning, what you are giving back. Written in the present tense, in detail, as though you are already living there.

Then the business has something to serve, and every decision after it becomes a comparison rather than an invention. Does this take me towards it, or away from it. That is what turns a two-hour decision into a two-minute one.

Then we do the business one. There is a second North Star for the business itself, in much more detail: what it looks like, how it feels to work in, who is in it, what it is known for, what it does without you. That one lives inside the group programme, and it works because this one came first.

This is for you if:

This is for you if

  • You have been running on empty for a while and calling it a busy patch

  • Your health, your relationships or the thing you used to make for fun have quietly become what you trade away

  • You can describe the business you are supposed to want in detail, and go blank when asked about the life

  • You have tried planners, apps and systems, and none of them stuck

  • You are neurodivergent, diagnosed or not, and tired of building in shapes designed for other people

  • You are prone boom and bust cycles

This is not for you if

  • You already know exactly where you are heading and just need the how

  • You want a business plan, a financial model or a marketing strategy

  • You want somebody to hand you a vision rather than pull yours out of you

What you leave with

  • A written first draft of your three-year Vivid Vision, in your own words

  • Notion Session Plan, with every prompt (so you can revisit at any time)

  • Email follow-up, to help you to connect, embed and plan next steps

  • The replay for 14 days

  • £49 credited in full against D.A.R.E. to be Different Group, if you decide to carry on

You won't be doing it alone

There is a specific thing that happens when you hear another person read out the life they actually want.

It gives you permission. It makes yours bigger. Most of what people add to their vision in the second half of this session comes from hearing somebody else's and thinking, hang on, I am allowed to want that too. You get ideas, inspiration and a fair bit of magic from other people's, and it costs you nothing but listening.

This is not networking. Nobody is going to ask for your elevator pitch and you will not be collecting contacts. It is a room of people whose brains work like yours, doing the same difficult thing at the same time.

Capped at 20. Sharing is by invitation, never compulsory. Cameras on is optional.

Who's running this

I’m Jackie McCullough…

…founder of We Make Space, and I do not just understand divergent brains, I live in one. AuDHD, diagnosed dyslexic at 27, ADHD at 44, autistic at 46. So the overwhelm, the burnout, the brilliant-but-no-map feeling, I know all of it from the inside.

I work with divergent leaders who are visionary and full of ideas and somehow still stuck, and I help them find clarity, direction, and a way of working that honours their brain instead of fighting it. Beyond perfectionism into experimentation. Beyond productivity into a rhythm that actually holds.

I found this out the hard way, flattened by CFS, when a health practitioner asked what I did. I said I worked in an office. He just said, "I've never done that, it doesn't work for me," and something dropped. I had spent my whole life working in ways that were never built for me.

More than 50 people have done this session with me. Same pattern every time: they arrive able to list everything they don't want and go blank on what they do, and they leave clear, making decisions in minutes that used to take weeks.

I built this room for brains like ours. Ninety minutes to work out what you actually want is not much to ask, and it changes a lot.

If you want to keep going

Plenty of people come for the 90 minutes, take their vision away and get on with it on their own. That is a whole thing in itself, and it is genuinely fine. There is no pitch on the night.

But some people get to the end and think, right, now what. If the writing opened something up and you want company while you turn it into something real, here is where that goes next.

D.A.R.E. to be Different, Group Edition, starts in September 2026. This workshop is session one of it, run standalone, so you would arrive already a step ahead. It is also where the business North Star happens: the detailed one, the vehicle built to reach the destination you have just described.

Twelve weeks. Twelve sessions. Four to six people who think the way you do. £1,200, with your £49 taken off.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, put your name down below and I will be in touch when doors open. No commitment, and nothing happens to you in the meantime.
